I'll start by saying that I'm an intermediate flute player and I think what Jonny has put together here is pretty amazing. He starts with an intro to the flute for beginners, which I went through and realized that I had a bad habit already! From there he thoughtfully moves you through phrasing, scales, and techniques before queuing up the heart of the material which is putting it all together.
He shows you how to set an intention, play with rhythm and play to a backing track–which I didn't really expect in this course. Jonny is hands down one of the best instructors of the Native American Style Flute today. His thoughtfulness, explanation and organizational skills are unmatched.

Jonny Lipford

Jonny Lipford is an award-winning musician who creates and composes music that highlights the Native American flute while pushing its boundaries. After hearing the flute in a cartoon at the age of 13-years-old, he received his first Native American flute in 2002 as a Christmas gift. Jonny has a passion and gift for leading others and is one of the highest sought-after instructors in the industry. He’s helped thousands of students achieve more in their flute journey by connecting with and instructing students in a meaningful and charismatic way.
